Filipe Severino
Filipe Segurado Severino holds a PhD in Tourism since 2022, having completed his thesis with events specialization. He earned his master's degree in Hotel Management in 2017, focused on event tourism, and his bachelor's degree in Leisure Management and Tourism Entertainment in 2011. He was a postdoctoral research fellow in the SHIFT Project (Sustainability-oriented, Highly interactive, and Innovation-based Framework for Tourism Marketing) at the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies (ESHTE) for three years (2022-2025), and currently continues to collaborate with the project as part of its research team. He is as an Invited Assistant Professor in the field of tourism and management at various institutions. He is an integrated researcher of CiTUR Estoril - Centre for Tourism Research, Develoment and Innovation, and a researcher (collaborator) at RESILIENCE - Center for Regional Resilience and Sustainability. His research interests include tourism, events, hospitality, leisure, event tourism, event management, tourist entertainment, contents tourism and Japanese popular culture. His professional background focuses on tourism entertainment, education, events, and tourist information.
