Maria de Lurdes Calisto

Maria de Lurdes Calisto has a PhD in Management. She is an Assistant Professor at Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies. She is a member of the General Council of the Institute and co-coordinates the Master in Hotel Management. She is a member of CiTUR - Center for Applied Research in Tourism. She develops research with an emphasis on Management and Business Studies, particularly in the context of tourism, hotel, and food service companies. Her research interests are business strategy, strategic marketing, intrapreneurial behavior, corporate entrepreneurship, human resources strategic management, and service innovation. She has experience as a principal investigator and co-PI of competitive research projects and supervises doctoral theses. She has several publications with global book editors and top-rank journals and is frequently invited as a lecturer for Portuguese and foreign universities and by the industry. In addition to her academic career, she has many years of experience in the business context in management roles.
